  1. I was very impressed with Liz Aiken photos of Steve Vai. I am an Irish artist living and working in South Carolina in the US. I am working on a series of oil paintings called Icons of Rock. I am looking for a quality image of Steve Vai and permission from the Photographer who took the photo. Liz would receive 10% ($750) upon the sale of the final piece which will be priced at $7,500. I have almost completed a piece of Joe Satriani ( which I can show you) and have recently secured permission to complete a painting of James Hatfield. To see samples of my work please go to my website diarmuidkelly.com. I also have more recent portraits that I can show you.
This exhibit of 10-12 pieces will be held late next year in South Carolina.
Getting permission to paint these pieces is proving to be very time consuming but I firmly believe in receiving permission before progressing with these paintings. This will be a once off painting! No prints will be made. Many thanks for your consideration,

  3. Hi Guys
Stormy Red & the Tornados are a 7 Piece ‘Stonkin , Dirty, Rock’n’Roll and Bitchin Blues’ band ,consisting of Raucous female vocals, ridiculously accurate guitarist and a rhythm section consisting of a solid double bass , hard hitting Brass Section, old school drums and a noisy barrel-house style pianist

Band members are found from the North West of England.

The bands influences are in the style of late 50s R’n’B like Big Mama Thornton, Amos Milburn, through to early 60s rock n roll,Soul and New Breed.

Hope to see some of you on the dance floor real soon
